Magrath Triathlon

In July Mel did her first triathlon, along with Ang and Ken. It was fun....I'd do it again!

Our Montana Vacation

Montana or bust!

Our first stop was at Choteau in the city campground. It was a bit of a gong show there with the Independence Day celebrations!

Our next stop was Missoula. It was hot - up to 40*C! Thank goodness for pools and watermelon!!

We stayed at Holland lake next. We were awed by the beauty of it, except when we were getting attacked by swarms of killer mosquitoes!

Our campsite was right along the lake.

We hiked to Holland Falls. Simone decided on the way back that she had had enough of the backpack-carrier...by the amount of snot and tears that poured out of her you would have thought it was the end of the world!

We went canoeing; however, Simone decided she didn't like this excursion either and halfway through decided to let the whole campground know!

We were planning on camping along the Flathead Lake next, but the two campsites we checked out were not great. So we headed up a little further north to Whitefish and ended up staying at another KOA. It was raining when we checked in so we decided to splurge on a cabin...good choice! The KOA was a great place for Simone, complete with petting zoo, playground and pool.

We accidentally missed the turn-off to the Going-to-the-Sun Road (how, I'm not sure!), so we ended up driving around Glacier Park. However, it was still a beautiful drive, one that neither of has had driven before!
